BGO Bingo Review

BGO Bingo promises players, “Your next big win could be just around the corner!”

But is that true?

Read on to find out!

Who Are BGO Bingo?

BGO Bingo launched in 2012 with their operations governed in the UK by the British Gambling Commission.

From the beginning, they focused on creating a holistic, player-centric online gambling experience and quickly became one of the most dynamic and successful names in the industry.

About The BGO Bingo Website

BGO Bingo homepage

There’s a lot of information on the BGO Bingo homepage and their game-focused tabs, but it never feels cluttered or difficult to navigate. Overall, the website design feels very modern and updated.

The only quirk is the open, unused spaces on both sides on the screen but this actually works well on mobile browsers.

The website claims there are dedicated apps for mobile and tablet users, but a quick search on the Google Play and Apple App stores comes up empty.

BGO Bingo’s Help Page loads quickly and points directly to their contact information:

  • Live chat: Monday to Sunday, 10 AM to 10 PM, UK time
  • Phone number: 0330 094 8055
  • Email: support@bgo.com

Their Twitter account hasn’t been updated since 2018, but the Facebook page has a new post once a month.

BGO Bingo uses the following software to run their online games:

  • IGT
  • NetEnt
  • PlayTech

You don’t need to provide any documents to verify your identity when creating a BGO Bingo account. However, the FAQ section does say if the company can’t verify your identity using the information provided, they’ll contact you to ask for a copy of your ID and proof of address.

BGO Bingo has a minimum deposit amount of £10 but no minimum withdrawal amounts. There is a £2.50 withdrawal fee and can take up to 3-5 days to reach your account.

Which Bingo Games Does BGO Bingo Offer?

There are 4 bingo lobbies to choose from:

  • 90 Ball
  • 80/75 Ball
  • BGO World
  • VIP

Let’s take a look at the games on offer in each room.

90 Ball Lobby

The 90 Ball lobby offers 6 games in total, all of which run 24 hours and offer progressive jackpots.

Peggy’s Place, for example, offers a progressive jackpot and a £480 total prize. Other jackpots range from £6 total prize to £150, with entrance fees costing between 2p and 50p.

80/75 Ball Lobby

BGO Bingo 75 Ball Lobby

This lobby offers 4 games in total, with 2x 80 ball games and 2x 75 ball games. As an example, Seaside Bingo (80 ball) runs from 9 AM to 11:59 PM daily and costs 2-25p to join.

BGO World Lobby

The BGO World Lobby offers 4 games in total, all of which are 90 ball. These are all promotional games, though, so you can only join under certain circumstances.

VIP Lobby

The VIP Lobby is only open to members of the Candy Club VIP/rewards program. As a member, you can access free-to-play games in this lobby according to your level.

There are 5 levels — Chocolate, Toffee, Nougat, Caramel, and Candy which feature a range of jackpots, with Chocolate offering the lowest (£10) and Candy offering the highest (£500).

Members can still access games at lower levels. For instance, Candy-level members can play the exclusive Candy bingo game on Mondays as well as all other 4 VIP lobby games.

Playing at BGO Bingo

BGO Bingo Game in Progress

The site seems to be very active, with some games attracting hundreds of players at a time.

This is especially true for games with larger jackpots, and Deal or No Deal (both the 90 ball and 75 ball versions) always has a couple hundred players every game.

The member’s area is as user friendly as the main website and offers useful links via the top navigation bar, including responsible gaming etiquette, transaction history, bonuses, and more.

While there are free bingo games available, you do need to spend money on other games to gain entry.

Take the Beginner’s Luck game — it’s only open to new players for 7 days after spending at least 1p and requires the minimum deposit of £10, and most of the free-to-play games are exclusive to Candy Club VIP members.

BGO Bingo Reviews

Even though their license doesn’t record any formal complaints, BGO Bingo has mostly negative reviews around the web.

Some users complained the welcome offer didn’t work, with BGO Bingo not allowing you to withdraw any of your winnings due to the complicated terms and conditions:

Others complained the games are bugged or even rigged, requiring multiple high-stake bets before you start getting preferential treatment by the system but this is probably not true:

But the promotions do seem to be popular and many reviewers highlight the positive experience fostered by the game hosts and player community:
